# Create Your Free Do Donate Account and Start Giving

> Sign up for a free Do Donate account to donate to campaigns or launch your own fundraiser. Registration is quick and takes less than two minutes.

A Do Donate account is your gateway to the platform. With a free account you can donate to any active campaign, track your giving history, create and manage your own fundraisers, and stay connected with causes you care about. Creating an account takes less than two minutes.

## Sign up

    Open your browser and go to [dodonate.com](https://dodonate.com). You can create an account from any device — desktop, tablet, or mobile.

  <Step title="Click Sign Up">
    On the homepage, click the **Sign Up** button in the top-right corner. This takes you to the account registration page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your name, email, and password">
    Fill in your first name, last name, email address, and a password. Your password must be at least eight characters long. Once you've filled in every field, click **Create Account**.

  <Step title="Verify your email address">
    Do Donate will send a verification email to the address you provided. Open the email and click the **Verify Email** link inside. This confirms your address and activates your account.

      Can't find the email? Check your spam or junk folder. If it's not there after a few minutes, click **Resend verification email** on the confirmation screen.

  <Step title="Complete your profile">
    After verifying your email you'll be prompted to complete your profile. Add a profile photo and a short bio so campaign creators and fellow donors can learn a little about you. You can skip this step and come back to it later from your account settings.

  Your account is free to create. Do Donate may charge a small platform fee on donations to cover processing costs.

## Sign in to an existing account

If you already have a Do Donate account, click **Log In** in the top-right corner of any page. Enter your registered email address and password, then click **Log In** to access your account. You'll be taken straight to your dashboard.

## Reset a forgotten password

If you can't remember your password, you can reset it in a few quick steps.

    Click **Log In** at the top of any Do Donate page.

  <Step title="Click 'Forgot password?'">
    Below the password field, click the **Forgot password?** link.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your email address">
    Type in the email address associated with your account and click **Send Reset Link**.

  <Step title="Check your email and set a new password">
    Open the password reset email from Do Donate and click the link inside. You'll be prompted to enter and confirm a new password. Once saved, you can log in straight away with your new credentials.

  Password reset links expire after 30 minutes. If your link has expired, return to the **Forgot password?** page and request a new one.
