# Update Your Do Donate Profile and Account Settings

> Manage your Do Donate profile picture, display name, bio, linked accounts, and account preferences from the Account Settings page.

Your Do Donate profile is how donors, campaign supporters, and the broader community recognize you on the platform. Keeping your profile accurate and up to date helps build credibility, makes your campaigns more trustworthy, and ensures you receive important account communications without interruption.

## Updating your display name and bio

Your display name appears on your campaigns, donations, and comments across Do Donate. Your bio gives visitors a short introduction to who you are and what causes you care about.

1. Log in to your Do Donate account.
2. Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select **Account Settings**.
3. Under the **Profile** tab, locate the **Display Name** field and enter your preferred name.
4. In the **Bio** field, write a short description of yourself — up to 200 characters.
5. Click **Save Changes**.

## Changing your profile picture

    Click your avatar in the top-right corner of any page and select **Account Settings**.

    Select the **Profile** tab if it is not already active.

    Click the camera icon or **Change Photo** beneath your current profile picture. Choose an image file from your device — JPG, PNG, or GIF formats are accepted, up to 5 MB.

    Use the cropping tool to adjust how your photo appears, then click **Save Photo** to apply the change.

## Updating your email address

Your email address is used for login, donation receipts, and important account notifications. To change it:

1. Go to **Account Settings** and open the **Profile** tab.
2. Click **Edit** next to your current email address.
3. Enter your new email address and click **Send Verification Email**.
4. Open the verification email sent to your new address and click the confirmation link.

Your email address will not update until you complete the verification step. If you do not receive the email within a few minutes, check your spam folder or request a new verification link from the settings page.

## Changing your password

1. Go to **Account Settings** and select the **Security** tab.
2. Click **Change Password**.
3. Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password.
4. Click **Update Password**.

Your new password takes effect immediately. You will receive a confirmation email to let you know the change was made. If you did not request this change, contact support right away.

## Linked social accounts

Do Donate allows you to connect a Google or Facebook account for quicker sign-in. To manage your linked accounts:

1. Go to **Account Settings** and select the **Linked Accounts** tab.
2. Click **Connect** next to the social platform you want to link, or **Disconnect** to remove an existing connection.
3. Follow the prompts from the selected platform to authorize the connection.

Disconnecting a social account does not delete your Do Donate account. If you use a social login as your only sign-in method, you will be prompted to set a password before disconnecting.
