Types of notifications
Do Donate delivers notifications through two channels:Email notifications
- Donation received — sent to campaign owners when someone donates to their campaign.
- Campaign updates — sent to donors when a campaign they have contributed to posts a new update.
- New donor milestone — sent to campaign owners when their campaign reaches a supporter milestone.
- Weekly digest — a summary of activity on campaigns you follow or manage.
- Promotional messages — news, featured campaigns, and platform announcements from the Do Donate team.
In-app notifications
In-app notifications appear in the bell icon in the top navigation bar. They cover real-time activity such as:- New donations to your campaigns
- Comments and reactions on your campaigns or posts
- Replies to comments you have left
- Status changes to campaigns you follow
How to update your notification preferences

Open Account Settings
Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select Account Settings.

Go to the Notifications tab
Select the Notifications tab from the settings menu.

Toggle notifications on or off
You will see a list of notification categories for both email and in-app alerts. Use the toggles to turn each type on or off according to your preferences.

Save your changes
Click Save Preferences at the bottom of the page to apply your selections.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails
If you no longer want to receive promotional emails from Do Donate, you can opt out in two ways:- From Account Settings — go to Account Settings > Notifications and turn off Promotional messages.
- From any marketing email — scroll to the bottom of the email and click Unsubscribe. This removes you from all marketing communications immediately.
You will always receive transaction confirmation emails for donations you make, regardless of your notification settings. These transactional emails — including donation receipts and payment confirmations — are required for your records and cannot be disabled.
