Do Donate supports a range of payment methods so you can donate in whatever way is most convenient for you. All transactions are processed securely, and your financial details are protected at every step. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about accepted payment methods, saving your details for future donations, and how currency works for international campaigns.

Accepted Payment Methods

Do Donate accepts all major credit and debit cards. The following card networks are supported:
  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover
Both credit and debit cards on these networks are accepted. Prepaid cards may work depending on your card issuer, but are not officially guaranteed.

Saving a Payment Method

When you’re logged in to your Do Donate account, you can save a card for faster donations in the future. Here’s how:
  1. Navigate to Account Settings from your profile menu.
  2. Select the Payment Methods tab.
  3. Click Add Payment Method and enter your card details.
  4. Check Save this card to store it securely to your account.
Your saved card will appear as an option during every future checkout, so you can donate in just a few clicks without re-entering your details. You can also save a card on the fly during donation checkout by checking the Save for future donations box before confirming your payment.

Removing a Saved Payment Method

You can remove any saved card from your account at any time:
  1. Go to Account Settings and open the Payment Methods tab.
  2. Find the card you’d like to remove.
  3. Click the Remove button next to that card and confirm the deletion.
Once removed, the card will no longer appear at checkout. Any active recurring donations linked to that card will need to be updated with a new payment method to continue processing.
If you remove a payment method that’s tied to an active recurring donation, that recurring donation will be paused. Update the payment method for any recurring donations before removing the card to avoid interrupting your giving.
Do Donate uses industry-standard encryption to protect your payment information. Your card details are never stored directly on Do Donate’s servers — they are handled by our certified payment processor in compliance with PCI DSS standards.

Currency and International Donations

Each campaign on Do Donate is set up in the organizer’s local currency. When you donate, your payment is processed in the campaign’s currency.
  • Domestic donations — If you’re donating in the same currency as the campaign, no conversion takes place.
  • International cards — If your card is issued in a different currency, your card issuer or bank will apply their own exchange rate and may charge a foreign transaction fee. Do Donate does not control or add fees for currency conversion.
Check with your bank before donating internationally if you’re unsure whether foreign transaction fees apply to your card.
